Got a new to me VALK so I found this board searching around.  May have plenty of questions later on. For now lots of reading has got alot of my questions answered already.  Haven't had a bike in 9 years.  The wife liked this one, so...........98 Standard, 41,000 miles and lots of aftermarket chrome.

Nice choice....you can't go wrong with a "fast black" Valkyrie!  What part of the country are you from?

Welcome to the funny farm. You don't need a sense of humor to hang out here... but it helps.

What part of the country are you from?

Mid North Carolina.   Handles very nice on the road. Still having a little trouble with very low speed turns in parking lots.  Heavest bike I have ever owned.  I'll get use to it.

Welcome to the Valk world from another new F-6 rider. Got mine Last Friday. (4 days ago) I've been wanting one for years, but finally got the chance and jumped.

Yes, Just 20 miles south of Lexington.  I've been to the festival several times.  Always good BBQ.

Welcome aboard.  Your first ride took ya just a few miles from my house.  And oddly enough im working this week probably near you.  Working for the town of Denton.  If ya decide to come up toward the mountains again drop me a email or message on here and I will dust off my bike and we can put some miles under us Smiley

Congrats and welcome aboard. And very nice looking bike. Are you still grinning? Been riding one for almost 4 years and can't seem to wipe the grin off as if I'd want to anyway.  Smiley

What kinda bike is that?
Take offs and landings are kind of wierd at first but you'll get used to it.
Pay particular attentention to the throttle stop. See when you find it.
I took me a year.

Not far from Denton.  Next time I'm up that way, I'll drop you a line.  I usually get to Sparta a few times a year for groundhog hunting. Now that I have this bike, I'll probably come more often.

Welcome aboard Valkc and bigguy...  If you haven't noticed we are all like family.  We get along but we also poke fun at each other.  It's all about the love my friend.  Anyhow... Not sure if you seen it or not but this will be the tenth year that the VRCC has organized a "get together" it is located up in Michigan and well their will be more than 300 of us up there in July.

Here are the details:  http://www.valkyrieriders.com/inzane/

I hope you guys can make it.  Some have sold their bikes but still make it to these events just because of the people.  I went to my first one last year and it had me thirsty for another just 2 miles on the bike leaving the event.   Anyhow...

Bike looks good second best part is doing your own maintenance on them.

Take care and enjoy the weekend.

C'ya around I hope.

40 THOUSAND MILES?... Isn't that a lot of Miles?

You're GONNA hear that.
Not for this bike.
The other day a Harley rider at work asked me how many miles
I had on my Valk [97 red & white]
103,000
He looked at me and said: "And no rebuilds?"
Not "rebuild" it was "rebuilds"
I said: "Well I changed the air filter a couple times."
In another 200,000 or so you might want to start planning for one.
