It's that time again.  The regular schedule says Saturday 5 June.  I can't be there due to a family commitment.  Ghillie can't host because he'll be at Maxim handing out Poker Run flyers at their open house Saturday and he's booked Sunday also.  I'm available Sunday and I have lots of things mechanical, hydraulic, and electric on my to-do list, but space here is limited and although I can borrow the neighbors' pop-ups, the driveway is not flat.  So, what to do?

Input / suggestions please.

Temperature is gonna' be 103 degrees both days - not fit for man or beast.  How about moving it back one week?

Just my 2 cents.  If it's on Sunday, I will probably be there.  Saturday has a lot of stuff going on for the company.

Hey - it's always "cool" wherever John is. He is the original "cool dude".  Cool  Let's go to Tyler for the wrench party!! cooldude

This weekend looks line an anomaly.  Normally, it doesn't hit 100 until 3 weeks later.  That was the only reason for my suggestion to move it back a week.  One vote amongst.... tens of votes.

If it gets moved a week, we can do it at the shop. And I am praying that this early 100 degree weather is an anomaly. IT SUCKS!

I agree . . but . er . a . wouldn't it be 'move it forward' a week?

If so, that would be good for me.

So +1 on that vote.

Move it forward would seem to make it a week earlier, versus pushing it back a week to make it later.  That's my country fried brain way of thinking.  Guess Disco figured it out without a lot of ciphering.

I've got alot going on, but if no one else volunteers we can do it at my place. Transporters picked up about a dozen cars today so that makes it a heck of alot easier to get in and out.

Hey Ghillie,

You have enough on your plate to be burdened with preparing to host the wrench party.  I vote for Valkpilot's.  Who's with me?

I have all the parts necessary for the emergency 4-way flasher mod.  I believe Valkpilot does, as well.  If anyone else is interested in doing this, look it up at rattlebars.

I'm up for Valkpilot's on Saturday.

Hey Kim,
Rose and I have traded emails about swapping engine hangers.
She said she removed hers and is ready for the swap.
Do you think you could bring them?
No problem if you can't.
Thanks,

We're probably going to need a lift adaptor.  I have the kind that is permanently mounted to the bike.

I called Ghillie and it's doubtful he'll be able to make it.  If he can, he has "plenty of other stuff to do" that won't require a lift adapter.  So, I won't wrap mine in a towel and bungee it to the bike and will look much cooler riding to and from the Wrench Party!

But, I will check the Board before leaving in the morning to make sure it's not needed.

A quick review of Webster makes me wonder myself:

Main Entry: 1wrench
Pronunciation: \ˈrench\
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English wrencan; akin to Old High German renken to twist and perhaps to Latin vergere to bend, incline
Date: before 12th century
intransitive verb
1 : to move with a violent twist; also : to undergo twisting
2 : to pull or strain at something with violent twisting
transitive verb
 1 : to twist violently
2 : to injure or disable by a violent twisting or straining <wrenched her back>
3 : change; especially : distort, pervert
4 a : to pull or tighten by violent twisting or with violence b : to snatch forcibly : wrest
5 : to cause to suffer mental anguish : rack

— wrench·ing·ly  \ˈren-chiŋ-lē\ adverb

The really unacceptable plans are written in code.  I'll leave your imagination to explore what "swapping engine hangers" is really all about.

And "lift adaptors."  Well, don't get me started on "lift adaptors!"
