How about Hank's Grill in Mckinney. Right off the Central Expwy and we could probably land the whole patio to ourselves

Won't that be a 2fer at Hank's?  Those of us participating in the Poker Run will be there again on the 19th.

I don't have anything against Hank's but thought we might mix it up a bit.  Just my . .

I would suggest Redneck Heaven in Lewisville, but the ladies in the group might lynch me.

It doesn't matter where the meeting is and it wouldn't hurt to be at the same place twice in 10 days.  If you wanna' go, you go.

Hank's is fine for me.

If it's agreeable, can we start a head count?

Wasn't there a meeting at Loose Wheels last year too or was it longer than that?  You know when you get old your memory begins to go  Undecided

WOW!  Lemon Drop is still 'droppin' in!  Wink

Lori just asked me a few days ago if you were riding or posting.  I told her I hadn't

seen or heard from you for several months.  Thought maybe you didn't love us anymore  Cry

Hope to see you at the meeting and/or the Poker Run.

For perspective, here's where we've been since August '09 V.2

May '10 - Blue Goose Cantina, Plano, Collin County
April '10 - Love and War in Texas, Plano, Collin County
March '10 - Randy White's BBQ, Frisco, Collin County
February '10 - Bone Daddy's BBQ, Richardson, Dallas County
January '10 - Gloria's SalvaTex, Garland, Dallas County
December '09 - Hooter's, Grapevine, Tarrant County
November '09 - BBQ @ flyboy's in Melissa, Collin County
October '09 - Mercado Juarez, Ft Worth, Tarrant County
September '09 - Ballard Street Cafe, Wylie, Collin County
August '09 - RG's Burgers, Denton, Denton County

So, out of 10 meetings, we have Denton County at 10%, Tarrant County at 20%, Dallas County at 20%, and Collin County at 50%.  I agree with the "you fish where the fish are" philosophy, but it's been 6 months since we've been to the west half of the metro and the club ride this month starts and ends in Collin County.

My first $0.01 says let's go west - even if it's just a little bit.  If that doesn't work, my second $0.01 says let's at least mix it up a bit and not do Hank's twice in 9 days.  There, that's $0.02.

As much as I like the idea of a west meeting, the attendance hasn't been good for a west meeting since 2001.  So, as one of the most western riders, I'd rather ride a longer distance and have a larger gathering.

Hay, I think I can make this Dallas meeting thingy.  I will be in town and surely will be hungry by the time 7 p.m. rolls around.  Smiley  I'm staying in Irving near the airport, so it doesn't really matter where.

I have no $.02, just post where y'all will be meetin' and I'll show.   laugh

But I will be ridin in this...

Hmmm.  Wasn't one of the Parker Bros. involved with Elvis or something?

And maybe the other brother was the guy who did the dinner house rolls!   Cheesy

Looks like Prairie House gets the nod.

Ghillie,
Is that the Traildust Stake House?  If so, can sure get into one of those Ribeyes! We’ve got to try them one month real soon. Do they still cut your Necktie off?

That's the original Traildust and the only one left in existence to my knowledge. I almost cried when I realized that the one by the Mesquite Rodeo, that had a being remodeled by new owners sign up for ages, had suddenly been replaced by a big pile of rubble. When I was a kid my dad would drive us up to 380 a couple of times a year for a special treat. Later when I was first married we lived over by the rodeo. The Traildust had an all you can eat night on Wednesday, I was there pretty much every week for a couple of years. The slide, the dance floor, the food, I sure miss that place.

I/we would be all over a ride-to-eat at the Trail Dust.  The food is dependably good and reasonably priced.  It would not work well as a place for a meeting though.  The C&W music starts early is is way too loud to talk over - even upstairs.
