Now we have 2 bikes...... FB's Spyder is in the shop for recall repairs..... and it looks like they will not even have the parts until the middle of next week..... has to do with the steering and shifting.... pretty important stuff.... so her bike is out. I noticed a small oil leak while in Tucumcari....Imagine that... a Harley with an oil leak..... actually this is a 1st for me.... the clutch cable had a problem where it goes into the tranny.... got a new cable, and an oil cooler.... put them on....NOW... something has happened to the computer on the bike..... goofy stuff.... lights going on and off.... no oil pressure light when engine is off.... no computer check .... hazzard lights flashing..... I don't know..... Have been trying to trace it down..... the bike runs, but it's not right....Nothing I worked on should have any bearing on what is going on. SOOOOOO ...If I can't figger it out..... too late to take it to the shop and have it ready for the trip.... we were planning to leave Tuesday... and putt around the area....the bike shops are closed Sunday and Monday... Out choices are pretty much don't come... or come in the cage...... If I can't get things right.... I'm thinking cage...and just suck it up for all the grief I will get...LOL
edit....Last thing I did tonight was dissconnect the battery to see if the computer will re-set

If you bring the cage are you gonna come thru' KS ? If so, you can haul all the "LOOT" that Brian and I might acquire from the distillery ! You two could pretend you are running 'shine cross state lines for us ! We'll make up 'code' names and meet up for the "drop" an' everthang What U think 'Clyde', You and 'Bonnie' up to it? But SERIOUSLY. We Missed out on GOTF and this is probably only VRCC ride for me this season. Sure hope to see the two of you even If you ride Greyhound bus to KY !

Heya Mr. and Mrs. Glue - Ifn ya'll are in the mood for something a little different, you're welcome to swing by the Dallas area on your way out and take the wife's ST1300... She hasn't ridden it since your shindig in April, so she doesn't mind... (I ride it some just to keep it from getting crusty...)
We've even got space to park your car ifn ya' like...

I was gonna suggest unhooking the battery. Have heard of it working for others. I've also heard, on a truck battery, that touching the pos and neg terminals, off the battery, for about a min will clear truck codes. Not sure if it will work on a bike or not. What year is it? I'll ask around today. Does it have a alarm on it?

I was gonna say just put some hot glue on the little leak, but then read about the other problems.... It doesn't matter what you ride or how you get there, just go.... Steamer's type can be dealt with.. Hay Jimmyt

Pat, Serk, Gunslinger.....man y'all are brave!!!! The way things are going for me this week.... I don't know that I even want to LOOK at someone elses bike.... let alone ride it! .. It's VOODOO I tell ya.... Thanks for the offers!!!!! I still have a couple days left ta play with it.... not giving up yet. Roadkill.. if we come in a cage, it will be the roadster.... at least we can put the top down and be in the breeze. but it's just not the same..... and we can actually pack more stuff on the bike than we can in the car...
