guy on a Green/Silver I/S with Pennsylvania plates.....he was riding with another guy on a Wing that was from Los Angelos.....I was on my way home from a short 200 mile lunch ride and was eating an ice cream and having a coke at the Tallulah Gorge store when I spotted them pull in....they only stayed long enough to take a few pics.....I caught the guy on the Valk as he was getting ready to leave again.....I never caught his name, but he told me that they'd been to Key West and he was headed home.....He told me he hadn't been on the VRCC board since he bought his a few years ago....I told them to have a safe trip home.....he had rails around his saddlebags and a nice mural on the trunk and bags that had dragons on them.....

Two valkyries (one orange and black, one black Interstate, they weren't together) were at the gas
station I was at in Robbinsville last weekend... three unrelated Valks in the parking lot at the same
time...

The other guys had never heard of the VRCC... I guess there's a lot of Valkyrie owners out there
that don't know about us...

Hey Stanley, were you at that sort of 1950's Tallulah Gorge tourist place where the stores sit
right on the edge of the gorge? I stopped there once for a drink and sat out on the porch, snapped
this picture...

Yep....that is EXACTLY the place I stopped.....I stop there pretty regularly on my way back from the Mtns and sit on the swing, drink a little 8oz bottle of Coke and eat an ice cream sandwich while I listen to the waterfalls 1,200+ ft below.....there are usually a lot of folks in and out of there for short periods of time....it's very relaxing in the late Fall and winter time when the crowds aren't so bad....

Just a little ways down the road is where Wallenda walked across the Gorge back in the Spring of 1970....the same year I was born...they have some stuff about it there on the porch at the store....

I think Tallulah Gorge is the largest "canyon" on this side of the Mississippi River....and back when I first started UGA, 20+ yrs ago, the main road(441), was the only way South to Athens....the New road was built after that..... cooldude
