Was a bad snake---still alive!  I didn't see it soon enough or it would have been a GOOD snake!  Pretty sure it was some version of a rattler.  Not a diamdback, but almost certain it had rattles.  Stan

That snake isn't a rattler. I think it's a Gopher snake. The marking mimic a rattler but no rattles. They might bite but no venom.

It probably is a moot point...I'm sure that I would expire from the heart attack well before the venom would have a chance to hurt me!!

Great pics.  Was there anyone there from New Mexico.  I know Dragonryder and I weren't because I was helping daughter move from Mesa to Queen Creek and just couldn't be in two places at once.

That was a BULL snake,and as far as people from NM we had six 6 not much of a showing from the HOST state but we did have a very good time,you all missed a good one!     Bandit :crazy2 from New Mexico 2funny
