I need a set of front IS speakers. I found an old thread about using J&M replacement speakers for the Wing. But two part numbers were mentioned. Which is correct for the Valkyrie front fairing? I know the speakers are 4.5 inches. The J&M site doesn't list the size or depth. They are both rated at 3 ohms.

J&M responded to my inquiry.

You would want the RSPF-GL15 for the Valkyrie.

I got mine from HDL they have both the 4.5 in for the front and the 4 in for the rear. Great improvement over the old stock speakers. About  $128 total shippinng and all. You can also go to wingstuff.com and look under 1500 goldwings for the rear and 1800 for the front.

Not sure if these are a direct fit, but a guy on the Gold Wing board raved about these.

If you look on some of the old posts here you will see a thread about using the Polk audio speakers from Crutchfield....  I did the mod myself and I think it was around $120 to do all 4 on my I/S.

Someone might know where to find the install guide.

Finally got back on the board and at home to boot. The ones I used were USK-9000 for the rear and RSPA-GL18 for the front. Direct replacement about an hour for all four, much ,much better than stock
