Hey Fellas thought the valk had a valve train noise that sounded bad. Took to the dealer 1st they said sounds terrible & estimated me $700.00 - $900.00 to fix. Sad I consulted Big Mike Valkyrie Bling & More. Told me to get in touch with Fuzzy. I couldn't find Fuzzy so I placed a tech ad looking for a mechanic in michigan & Rtaz gave me fuzzys#. RTaz told me to bring bike to his house & Fuzzy would repair there, so I did. RTaz listen to the bike for 20 seconds & said its the desmog making this noise. Well reluctantly i didn't believe him, but turned out he was exactly correct. Fuzzy desoged her Sync the carbs for considerably less & WOW I thought I ran nice Before. Its PERFECT. A1 guys. To think this dealer was gonna screw me for $900 bucks, & oh that was an estimate. Angry

Thanks Again Big Mike, RTaz & Fuzzy. Guys like you make this site all that much better. cooldude

Was this noise all the time even at idle? Something in the smog system was making your noise? I have a buzz or rattle on my '98 under power. Checked buzz bolt. Bolt was tight but might still be vibrating. Sounds right under the tank or up by radiator. Checked eveything I could get my hands on to tighen. Inspected timing belts. I saw a post where someone found a bolt or nut inside there engine guard. I have 24K on the clock.

I have another noise up front that sounds like front wheel bearing. Not sure but I bought bearings anyway and plan to do that soon. Going to be down for painting in a few weeks so I will be going over some things while that is going on.
