Interested in going from stock to braided stainless. Have read a couple of threads in search. Easiest fitment I have found for Valks are from Galfer, Goodridge and Russell. Looking for some experienced user opinons on which brand fits/works best for Valk. Do all have seperate lines from master to each brake or is there one that uses the split under the triple tree? Thanks

I have Galfers and they split under the triple tree. They even use the original brakets under there too. No problems in 4 years of use. Brake felt better too.

You should check out the Galfer web site. The lines are different fot the Standard/Tourers compared to the I/S. I believe they offer two line or three line versions, as well as clutch and rear brake lines. You'll need to get the stock numbers to be sure of what you are buying.

While you're there, there are alternatives to the stock crossover tubing. -RP

I just replaced my oem rear brake line with Galfer today and have the front brake and clutch lines to do over the weekend. Nice stuff. I went Galfer because it uses the oem tee requiring only one line at the master cylinder. A buddy of mine went with the two-line Goodrich kit and left the tee in place to use its retainers to stow the lines. The front and clutch are "any time" projects. I did the rear while I was changing rear tires and servicing my final drive. I'm sure it can be done with everything intact, but I believe it was easier with the rear wheel off. I was able to cut off and reuse the oem grommet just below the rear master cylinder, but had to make a couple to effectively reuse the two brackets on the swingarm. I didn't replace the center bracket above the swing arm pivot but split a 6" piece of fuel line and wrapped the new brake line with it so it doesn't touch anything.

WOW!!! I feel I'm in good company. I ordered Galfer front brake lines during DLPs Memorial Day Sale. I already have the clutch line. Since I will be replacing front brake and clutch fluid during my 50K mile service, I will wait till then to install them. The next time DLP has a sale, I'll order the rear brake line and replace it then along with new fluid.

Thanks for the input. RP, I like the crossover, do you know if HDL/DLP carries the "T"? I do have an I/S so I'll be sure to get the correct part #. X Ring, how good was the sale? Maybe it would be worth waiting to see if they run a 4th July sale.
