He's lucky he didn't break every bone in his body. You can see that he never even reached for the front brake. MSF would help him a lot. cooldude

Yep, classic target fixation.  The bike went right where he was looking.   At the speed he was going he should have had no problem negotiating that turn.  Lucky he is. Shocked

Interesting that somebody was at that spot with a camera, following that particular rider as the accident happened. If it was a family member, they must be pretty cool characters to keep shooting as  hubby/brother/dad went over the rail.

Having been on Mulholland, there's always people with cameras, just shooting all the riders. Deals Gap has the same thing.

What got me was around 23 seconds in, when another rider comes around the corner, someone yells, and it sounds like they were cursing at the other rider, as if the whole thing was HIS fault! Never ceases to amaze me.

Wish I could remember the name of the road up around Portland, OR, that we used to race up and down. Many years ago, and we'd use CB Radios to make sure the road was clear, because in most parts, it was basically a wide ONE-lane road. Sure was fun, for the most part...anyone know of it?

It was the panick that got him... could have "powered" right thru that turn to correct. From the looks of that guard rail he's not the first to be there!
