So far sounds like you pulled the tank and reinstalled it. Why did you remove the tank, what else did you do after you removed it, did you pull really hard on the gas line? If gas was not leaking before you removed the tank, it should not leak after you installed it unless somehow you cracked a deteriated line or disconnected one in the process of installing the tank. If you cracked open a drain lline gas should come out from the bottom of the bike if the drain lines are good. Good luck.

Lookout, they are drain lines from the carbies, If fuel is coming out of them you are at risk of hydrolock.
Sounds like some dirt has entered system and holding the float valve/s open.
Double check where the fuel is coming from. If in doubt pull the plugs before trying to start and see if any fuel comes out of the cylinders.
Good luck.

Badnuf, you ornery devil you.

PULL THE PLUGS before you even think about hitting
the starter button...............

The old girl could be hydro locked, and if it is and you
bash the starter, just look at a bill of about $1,500 to
$2,000 to repair your goof.     It will bust gears, and da
motor will have to be pulled to repair......

Hydro-lock is when gas fills the cylinders.   Gas won't compress in solid state, it just locks things up and gears try to keep going.

Pull all the plugs and hit the starter. if fluid flies out of any cyclinder, you could have been in trouble.

Find the problem, repair, roll over engine again, no fluid, put plugs in and fire the old girl up.

Think maybe ya'll can handle that Grasshopper?

Check the vacuum line coming off the petcock, see if any gas is coming from there, could be the diaphragm is bad petcock needs rebuild maybe.

It sounds like he has gas coming from the 2 overflow/vent hoses. Rear of the carbs over the bracket that ties the carbs together.

Sounds like the petcock is not working properly and 2 or more carb float valves are open.

I had something like this happen last summer, it happened when I filled the tank from almost empty.

Replaced Petcock and cleaned carb bowls, jets, valves and seats.
