The most crowded I've seen in awhile. With the oil spill, seems people are moving their vacations further east. Even the fish seem to be migrating east. Reports are that the fishing off shore is the best in many years.

Anyone got a guess on when they will stop the flow of oil?

When drilling for oil is illegal and $5 for a gallon of gas seems cheap

That's ok with me, better than a bunch of investors getting rich while they ruin our coast.  Florida makes no money from the oil companies, we have rejected off shore drilling every chance we get, but we are going to suffer the same fate as the all the other states.

I wonder if we had not been so reluctant to allow drilling in shallow waters (400-2000 ft.) would the repair/damage control efforts been more sucessful?
Seems to me that manned craft  dealing with the dilemma at workable depths would be a tad better than remotely trying to fix the situation.
To think we can develop alternatives to oil (to be a viable alternative within the next 10 yeaqrs) is, at best, a pipe dream.
