First let me say again that I have used and reallllly like the Avon Venom's that I have used for years.  My last front Venom delivered 32K and without any "cupping"!! I By-the-way, I run 38 stone cold PSI.
Anyway, I just had to deal with an "out-of-round" Cobra, my first frt. Cobra.  Previously,  when I had a problem with a Venom I was able to deal directly with an Avon Co. rep.  After he obtained certain info from and about the tire and the problem, He would send me a replacement and an RMA to use to send the old one back with.  Things have changed!  Apparently, Micky Thompson has become the USA rep. for Avon Tires!  Anyway, AVON does no longer deal directly with the consumer.

Luckily, I found "HUAL'S BIKES TO TRIKES" in Cantonment, Fl. --850-944-2688  !!  Even though, he had not sold me the tire (for the last 10 years, I've been buying my tires off the internet- because of the cost savings), he agreed to help me get the tire replaced.  He submitted the adjustment doc's as requested and in four days rec'd the replacement plus an "alowance" to him for the labor.  THIS independent dealer cared enough about "doing it right" that he had Jeff C., A VRCC board member,  who is an expert on Valkyrie maintenance, come to his shop and give a demo. on how to do a correct tire/wheel R & R.  Just yesterday, the shop installed my new Cobra and they followed the proper sequence of the install AND NO IMPACT WRENCHE  was used for the install !!  ALSO, they are open on MONDAYS and his prices are considerably less than an authorized Honda dealership.  Oh Yea, he IS aware that he is in competition with the internet on tire prices and is quoted  prices to me that were  "close enough" to let you buy from him and get caring and proper workmenship and after-sale-support.

No, I don't work there, nor do I have any financial interest in the business.  I just want to show appreciation for an independent that is trying to make a long term honest living.
