when installing the trunk guard rail, do you have to take the shell out?  my buddy has a set that are not honda line, and they didn't come with any instructions.  pictures would be great!!

thanks,

al.

I know you are not installing the Honda Line trunk guard rail, but I have instructions for installing these in pdf format that may be useful in the trunk tear down.  Send me your email and I will send them to you.

You may find these pictures useful in getting both sides placed equally as there is not a really good reference point to measure from in deciding where to drill the holes.

If they are like the ones I installed, be prepared for a struggle.  They seem like they are too wide but they will fit.  If you help your buddy, it will go a lot better.  About a million screws around the top edge.

if they are the ebay ones, i had to remove close to one inch of pipe from each side so they would fit. used a pipe cutter and took it off where they meet in the center, redrilled the holes for the coupler, sealed the fresh cuts and holes with clear fingernail polish before mounting.
