Hi All These pics are of my 2 year old Avon Cobra rear tyre with about 12,000 km (8,000 miles) on them.On our way to Vt with pressure of 42lbs(checked the night before) it blew  at about 55 MPH.We made it OK.
Seems just like the problem I had with my Avon Venom rear.
What do you think? I am thinking of going for a warranty claim.

Go for it! Even if they deny it you're no worse off. I'm pretty sure I'm
on my last Avon. Going back to a Metz front next time. YMMV

I've had several Venoms and now Cobras are on the Valk. The worst rear got 14K with no breakdowns. I run 46 PSI all the time. 42 PSI front.

+1 what TP said

When one of my metzler rears cupped around 4k the company helped me get a new tire
I did have to find the place that I bought the tire which was a bit of a chore as they were a vendor at americade, but all worked out well.

All I paid was shipping one way for the tire and the new tire lasted much longer
