Hi!

A fellow rider with a Rivco center stand on his Valk, asked me if I knew how to modify a lift adapter such as this one, to be used on a Valk with a Rivco center stand.

I told him that I didn't know but, if it has been done, somebody here would know how.

Any insight would be very appreciated!  Cool

from my experiences with my Rivco center stand bracket, I would cut off the upright pieces off that bracket.  Leave the cross piece.  That will rest on the rivco bracket.

I use 2x2s under my bike.  two long ones to run under the motor then a shorter one crosswise to hit the rivco bracket.

You pay for the whole bike, why not use it Jerry Motorman Palladino

Is this with, or without a lift adapter?

Thanks Joe!

I hear you! I have a lift adapter but only use it if I'm doing major work on my Valk ... and that has not happened for a while.
Usually I just place the jack arms under the engine. This permits the front end of the Valk to be raised.
If I need to raise the whole bike (i.e.: including the rear wheel), I simply place a short piece of board on the jack to catch the rear portion of the engine ... and then lift it. Following a mishap, I now avoid heavy work on the bike in this position because it is not very solid. I've done that in the past, and of course, the bike slid backwards on the jack. Fortunately I was able to prevent it from going down!  uglystupid2
