Well it's time. I guess after 11 Years I can't complain. Got my $2.84 including tax, replacement seal yesterday. Now to put Daniel Meyer's instructions to use.
http://lifeisaroad.com/valkshiftseal.html . He doesn't mention it but is it a good idea to lube the seal before tapping it in?

Tom, I installed mine not that long ago following Daniel's instructions and it was a piece of cake. The hardest part was trying to get the old seal out. I tried using a screw like Daniel did but for some reason it  just kept tearing up the old seal. What finally worked for me was taking a really thin blade screwdriver and sliding it under the old seal and it came right out. I put the new seal in without lubing it. Good luck.

I've done two of these using Daniel's technique.  I use a cordless screwdriver and run a short drywall screw into the seal as close to the outer edge as possible, grab the screw head with a pliers and it pops right out.

I don't like installing seals dry, but, I doubt it'll hurt anything with just a shift seal..

I guess they're all different. I removed my old seal by picking it out with my fingernail.
