Thank you all for your concern.  Richard's had a multitude of phone calls and texts from his many friends, including all you 'nuts' in the VRCC!

Per his doctor, his surgery went 'very well' and he expects Richard to recuperate '100%.'  ('course , he wouldn't be a doc worth his salt if he'd said anything else, eh?!)

Once he got over the nausea from the anesthesia, Richard was quite perky - until they took him off the morphine push button.  Since he came home on Sunday and we use the pharmacy at Sam's Club (closed Sundays), he's become a bit grumpy from the pain.  Fortunately, me (knowing what's good for me!) ran my butt over there first thing this morning and got his muscle relaxer and pain meds, which he just took.  crazy2

I fully expect peace and quiet to descend momentarily upon our household, and for it to last for the next four hours.

As any of you know, who've been through a major surgery (raise your hands!), the first couple of days are the most difficult.  His throat is sore, making talking difficult.  If you want to come by, please call first; if you call, please don't expect him to answer right away but please do leave messages.   I expect that once he gets the pain under control, he'll hit the VRCC Forum first (although his spelling will be atrocious since he can't bend his neck to look at the keys)!!

Again, a big THANK YOU for making my Old Geezer  feel better in the midst of his tribulation.  (And if you know him at all, you know that not being able to talk is definately a tribulation for him!!)

Thanks for the update Lisa!

My prayers are with both of you.
Recovering is not fun, but being a caregiver can be .....well let's just say challenging!

Hang in there and tell Geezer that Godfire said he better treat you right and get well soon!
