Storm Rider this in not out of line with what the Administration has been saying.

Without Immigration reform/ Border won't be what it needs to be.

Kyl just said it more pointedly and probably I can see Obama in his simplistic manner saying

how will I get Reform on Imigration if I give up my bargaining chip a nd remember he is

trying to get the Dems and the Repubs to move at the same time on this.

So basically there is enough info out there to Support Kyl, who is by the way representing Arizona.

Every adminstration from Reagan till now has PROMISED border control, but failed to act because they didn't want to lose votes.  Too worried about Left Wingnuts and the Hispanic vote to do what's right.

Tell me one politician who tells the truth.  They tell who ever is listening what that group wants to hear...that is how you get relected. Both parties do it and have been doing it for many years.

They poor the koolaide that will get them re-elected and hope enough people will drink it, then when something goes wrong they blame the other side. A politicians best friend is a major f-kup that will make the other side look bad, both parties know it.

Tell me one politician who tells the truth.

Sam Brownback.

My observation is that it's a lot easier to become cynical and be against everything than it is to actually be for something.  I tend to devalue opinions when they're state in all inclusive terms.

I'd also second that, Willow, but then I might have to admit I came from KS.   Grin

Peter King of NY is pretty outspoken and hasn't been proven a liar as of yet.

Well my thoughts about these people come from being behind the scenes and working with people who have gone on to be governor and state legislators etc. I have heard them tell stories and half truths in order to ensure they will stay in good graces even though the policies and agendas they end up following are not good for many of the people they represent. I will admit my experience is in the state of Florida only but if the average person and I am not saying anyone on this board is the average person knew what went on off record they would mostly be disgusted. Some of these people I called friend until I saw what power and influence did to them.

Yes, I am very cynical but I am very involved with local politics, sheriff, mayor, school board etc. I have however given up on state and national politics, I still vote but do not try to influence anyone else's vote.

I do agree I should not be as negative as I am about politics and I do keep my views to my self in social arenas but I guess it is easy to vent when typing.

Didn't mean to offend but I will always have the view that much of the population believes what they hear on the news and that is not even close to what is really going on.

Just so there's no misunderstanding, I'm not nor was I offended.

You and I are in 100% agreement regarding much of the population and and the news.  It's why representative democracy simply won't work properly in a technologically advanced culture.

You can say that again Willow.

Have a good time at Inzane.

I would be there but can't ride and promised my POP I would not until it is time .

He reminded me on Father's Day.

What are you gonna do, promised and all.

Maybe I'll fly up.

lol!  Registration's still open, Al.  Two wheeled transportation is not required for a good time at InZane.  It is necessary to achieve the fullest enjoyment.

Being there and not riding might be good for you.  It would assist you in keeping your promise not to ride with me.   Grin

And Ron Paul; you know, the little squirmy looking fellow that, if elected Pres., would have secured our borders. At least that is what he's been saying for years.
