Many thanks to Stan (patron) for coordinating the deal between Steve and I.  I am now the proud owner of an excellent N-line trailer.  I've been towing a home made long enough that I am certain that the move up is a good value.  If you camp from your bike, towing is the way to go.

My new trailer:

Thanks again Stan and Steve.

Should oughta get a pic of your ride and Ricky's together. Fellow coffin draggers! Congrats on the new toy, Curtis. Always good to have someone along with room for my easy chair and a tripod. Where to - to break her in? ~Jeff

Have no worries, I've got that well taken care of.  Patrick and I are leaving Friday afternoon for Ft. Myers Florida to visit my daughter.  From there we'll head to Key West for a few days, then dash back up to Titusville for the Shuttle launch if it is still on schedule.  We'll camp every chance we get.

Curtis, I am curious about the inline trailer. How does it pull? how much tongue weight does it have, empty, and loaded? Looks like all the weight will go onto the tongue.  I hear that the inline is the way to go.

Terry, I've just been pulling it around empty the last few days so I have some of the same questions you do at this point.  My normal trailer content list is already established from previous treks so I plan on loading it up with my normal load and finding the answers to "our" questions.

On tongue weight, I would imagine the tongue weight to be around half of the gross wt. give or take some.  Loading any heavy items toward the back of the trailer would probably help.  Sleeping bags, pillows and the like will probably get packed toward the tongue.  The trailer only weighs 79# empty and the max recommended payload is 100#.  The only difference in my traditional load with this new trailer is that I'll have to switch to a smaller cooler and move it inside the trailer instead of on the tongue.

I'll post up when I know more.
