I succumbed to the draw of Grits and Groceries again today... the 40 minute ride there (and 40 minutes back) was a scorcher.

It was packed as usual, I was waiting for a seat at the bar when Heidi asked me if I wanted to sit with two old ladies who
told dirty jokes, so I said "yes"... here's one I'm willing to type in...

A lady shows up at the drug store, wants to buy some cyanide.
The druggist says he can't sell her that, what does she want it for?
  "To Kill my husband..."
The druggist is shocked, ma'am I can't be a part of that.
The lady shows the druggist a picture of her husband in a compromising position with the druggist's wife...
"Oh," he says, "I didn't know you had a prescription..."

My Valkyrie is making a new noise, that can't be good. A kind of buzzy, rattly noise, I don't think it modulates with engine
speed. I checked the buzz bolt, that seems real tight. I remember a long time ago my Honda civic made a noise that was
kind of similar when the water pump was going bad... do Valkyrie water pumps do that? I guess when I know more I'll
talk about it on the tech board instead of here in a Grits and Groceries post  cooldude

No pictures today, but I went down this road...

Hey Hubcapsc , I had a similar type buzz sound after riding a country rd. that was being scraped to lay new asphalt ..... by the time I got home that buzz was driving me nuts  tickedoff and I finally found it , it was the mounting bracket for the OEM Honda windshield on the right side ..... it was the part of the bracket that mounts to the windshield itself ... when I would pluck with my finger,  it it would have that same buzz vibration ... I just re-tightened all mounting brackets and no more annoying buzz  Grin

Hey Hubcapsc, sounds like something had come loose....causing the buzz or if you will vibration. I don't think it would be the water pump, as with the coolant I think it would muffle any buzz sound. Just my 2c....

ps....have you ever met a northner who loves grits? That's me, when i was at Shaw in SC I had grown fond of grits and still eat them today.

Y'all have got me wanting to go out and find something that has come loose, I hope it is just something
like that...

Where do you get good grits up there? I remember when we were passing through Buffalo we had
to stop and get someone a case of special hot dogs... don't remember the name of them - ring a bell?

Hubcap...the name of the dogs are the one's Ted's Hot Dogs sells (Sahlens)
as far as the grits go I just tell mama to buy any that you have to cook....not instant grits. Two years ago when to Myrtle Beach I went to visit the air base and passed a little joint that served breakfast I did a U turn and had a GREAT big bowl of grits that were cooked perfect. I think it was on highway 378 can't remember the name.

It's a corn product that is like Cream of Wheat.

Made from Homany.

I like them but a lot of young folks don't.

There is actuallly a Video of Grits.
