I was out today and encountered a sign that seemed to be very good advice.  It said, "Cross traffic does not stop."

It does, however, beg a question.  What causes the traffic to be angry?

Now who is stirring the pot?  ???  I could go SO MANY different directions with an answer to that question...but I'm not gonna be the troll starting it this time!   Lips Sealed 2funny 2funny 2funny

Actual answer is that the other drivers (mostly) do not know the love and peace that a Valkyrie can bring. I'd be cross too, if I had to live with out a Valk!   Shocked

I drive for a living and haul some very heavy equipment some toppin' out around 175,000 gross. I think riding a motorcycle has made me a much better driver and driving the heavy hauls makes me a better rider  ???

Texas highway 11 crossed state 121 at one point...(it's a bridge now) and there was a stop sign on 121 and a big sign (white with black letters) that said "SH11 traffic does not stop"

I took a piece of black electrical tape and "crossed" the second "1" so it made a "T" and put a comma after it.

It stayed that way for many years.  Evil

That sounds right...it was before they built the bridge on 121 to go over sh11...between McKinney and Bonham...we used to travel that route a lot...my mom had property in Bonham that I was always working on...

Got the idea because I was booking along in my 72 Dodge truck (this would have been in the early 80's) at about 75mph...with 20,000 pounds of shingles on a tandem flatbed trailer...we were horribly overloaded...and we didn't have any trailer brakes...my roommate (who was helping me roof the massive house) screamed as we slid through the intersection (121 had the stop) without hardly slowing down (I was standing on the brakes)...

What he screamed was "Sh1t! Cross traffic doesn't stop!" or similiar as I was looking at the sign and sliding in a cloud of tire smoke......He was stomping the (imaginary) brake pedal through the passanger's floorboard at the time...

So...that evening on the way home...we used a few inches of electrical tape!

Oh...wait...

Nope. I disavow all knowledge of any such incidents....

Yeah...it's a wonder we grow old.
