The parts fiche shows front calipers on a 98 to be different from the 97 (different part nos.).
Anybody know what the difference is and whether the 98's will indeed work on a 97?

I have several different calipers on my 97 than what came on it. I never gave the year a second
thought, so it is pure luck if I have three 97 calipers.

Interstate (rear anyhow) is different than Std/Tourer...

There's no difference in the front calipers, year to year.

I would hope the '97 calipers are WAY stronger to be able to stop those faster machines  Shocked

Yes, the '97s particularly the Red & Whites have been known to leave a trail of fire behind them.    Evil
