This is kind of a last minute idea, but how hard can it be?  BnB Tom and I were just talking about the perfect riding weather forecast for Sunday (Partly Cloudy with 20% chance of rain, Low of 56 Sunday morning, High of 77, Low of 61 Sunday night) and hatched this little plan for a ride and a burger and a ride.

We are going to meetup at the Exxon at the SW corner of Preston/289 and Eldorado Parkway in Frisco at 10:30 Sunday morning.  KSU 10:45.  Please join us and our SOs for our first ride of the Spring.  If you've been to Big Slick's, you know it's a cool place and the roads around there make it a worthy destination.  If you haven't been, meet us in Frisco, or meet us there if it's more convenient.

If we wander the back roads, we'll be there by 12:15 - 12:30.  If everyone is really hungry and we take a more direct route, we'll be there by 11:45 - 12:00.  Either way, we'll take a liesurely north Texas ride and celebrate.  Winter's officially over!  Let's ride. (and eat...)

I can't find a website for Big Slick's, but the address is 106 W Houston, Westminster, 75409.

Sounds good to me....if we are not there at KSU, we'll meet you at Big Slicks.

I might join you too, but like Jim, may be at either place depending on how late I get to sleep.  Late - Ha!

I am planning to meet everyone up there around noon. I'll bring your dish, JeannieBaby.

Good on you, David, for putting this together! ~Jeff

Great idea David, it was good to see everyone.
I'll bring my voltmeter to the wrench party and we'll figure out your blinker issue.
Thanks again.

I can only take partial credit for the idea.  It honestly just came up as two guys talking about getting their SOs out for a burger and a short time later it was on the board.

I did feel a bit like the pied piper starting with 2 bikes on the phone, then a few more on the board, then 6 (Lori & Tom, their friend, CB, Lemondrop, Vermithax, Bridgestone Bob, Janet & me) at the Exxon, then 5 more (2 former VRCCers + 3) as we came into Celina, then 2 more unidentified stragglers as we came through Anna.  Thirteen bikes rolled into Westminster together to meet VolvoBob, Linda & Wanderer, Sly & godfire, and John.  14 VRCCers in all.

Thanks for coming out.  It's alway fun to be with you all.

Jim, thanks for the suggestion about the electrical gremlin.  I particularly liked the way you described it as "a good one"!  I'll track it from there and get back to you.

Just a few of the more photogenic of the folks that gathered at Big Slicks yesterday. Really good, hot burger and great micro brew too! The company was even better - almost as good as the free calendars! Thanks again for the kick start on the ride, David. ~Jeff
