A local biker has a website and posted some pics he shot from his airplane. Us locals have ridden these roads and they're a blast.

His website: www.cyclerides.com

i've driven that road!!  in picture 5, on the far right there is a turn in the road.  if you go there, take a look at the side of the road, about 100 yards down there's a smashed burnt out car, upside down.  i pointed it out to my wife when we were driving home from phoenix about 5 years ago, she hates winding roads, he hated me for pointing out that smashed car also!!  i took pictures, i'll have to see if i can find 'em and maybe post one if i can.

if you expand the picture you'll see a stop off area just to the left after the bend, on your way to the bridge crossing the river, we were parked there when i saw that smashed car.

Definatly a great one.
A couple of my favorites when I lived in Glendale were 89a through Oak Creek Canyon and the old 666 up through Hannigan Meadow.

That Hwy 60 there is in my book more interesting to ride than the famous Rte 66 that parallels it to the north. It does loose alot of altitude heading west into Phoenix and you can really begin to feel the heat the farther west you go. Nice pics

Sandy,
Sharon and I rode this portion of Route 60 through the Salt River Canyon last year during one of our trips to Holbrook.  It was the Friday the guys were all taking their classic cars and hot rods up to Pinetop for the Run to the Pines car show.  We sat up on the mountain for about an hour watching those cars wind down the up the grades. Great experience.

I met a guy named Kevin ( rides a black Valk Tourer) at Westgate last Thursday.  He indicated he knew you.  He sounds like a serious rider. He has the Viking exhaust on his bike.

The trip is short,
enjoy the ride,
