I noticed it this weekend a rattling, squeaking noise form the front end, it comes and it goes while moving. My first thought is a front wheel bearing going bad. I want to exhaust all other possibilities before I pull my front wheel off.

The bike had set for a while (3 months), could there be something else going bad Speed O. cable etc.

My 99 interstate also has intermittent noises.

I am going to try cutting up some sponge and stuffing it in the bottom of the fairing.  The inner and outer shell seems to have some play along the bottom.

If this works, I will then do more home work on a better solution...

A help to find the source of the noise can be a water pistol.

Squirt a little at one place and see if the noise in eliminated.

More than likely if is emitting from the calipers/brakes.

Ditto this one.  Had an annoying rattle up front, miraculously went away when new brake pads were installed.

My shop caught this one so I did not get to see the exact source of the noise.
