How is the forksping oil measurement of 5.sumthin inches measured.  Is it measured from the top of the fork tube down to the top level of the oil?

It is different on each side (don't have the manual handy), springs out, forks compressed... I felt
real confident doing it that way, less so trying to measure volume...

Is the 5.sumthin inches the the space between the top of the oil and the top of fork tube?

Or, is the 5.sumthin inches the depth of the oil itself?

...between the top of the oil and the top of the fork tube... I copied this from Dag's online
manual...

Support the fork leg vertically and the fork compressed fully whenever measuring the fluid level.
Measure the fluid level from the top of the fork tube.

FORK FLUID LEVEL: GL15OOC/CT: 135mm (5.3in) GL7500CF: 136rnm (5.4in)  Right
FORK FLUID LEVEL: GL1500C/CT: 142 mm (5.6 in) GL1500CF: 148 mm (5.8in) Left
