While parked at a hotel, someone attempted (unsuccessfully) to break into my wife's F150.  Took the truck to the local Ford dealer and received an estimate for $1600 to repair the damage.

I remember when a person could buy a new F150 for not much more than that.  And, to accomplish $1600 damage to most of my cars, you would have to drive over them with a bulldozer.

In any event, here are the photos as promised:





I'll throw in a photo of my bike since this is a VRCC board.

1600 sounds high if your paying it out of pocket I would go somewhere else dealers are usually high. If insurance is covering all or part it really doesn't make a difference. Just so you know that is typical for someone trying to get into a car. I have seen allot of that how about a alarm.

Same thing to my Dodge Ram a couple years ago but they did get the door open and destroyed the ignition trying to get it started. About $1500.00 in damage. One day I will catch someone then LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!
