My pump has been leaking a drop or 2 after a ride out of the weep hole. The other night there was a 4" puddle under the bike. I have a new pump ordered from HDL but it might not be in until after next week. I am supposed to go on a ride (100 miles) next Saturday. I am trying to understand the risk. Worst case, will the pump totally fail and dump out all the coolant? If so I would guess this could fry the motor. I can monitor it along the way I suppose. I plan a few test rides this weekend to assess the leak. Any thoughts? I do not want to risk any damage for this 1 ride.

Take a jug of water or coolant along and add as needed, (don't remove the rad cap when hot).

Put some "bars leak" or other kind of sealing additive in the radiator as a temporary fix.

Not a whole lot!   A tablespoon or so.

I would NOT put anything in there.  Take a gallon of water along.  Probably will not need any.
