My '99 I/S shield is getting a bit scratched and hard to see through.  Is there a polish that'll take the light scratches out?  OR anyone got a better suggestion?  TIA, Guys and Gals! coolsmiley

I don't think there is anything on the market for your need.

BUT, put this over on the Tech Board and see what kind of results ya get..........

Those guys over there are pretty sharp.....

You may see some improvement with lemon pledge. Don't polish it! Don't polish it! Don't pol...well you get the idea. It can't be polished if it's stock and I know this firsthand Cry

I have had good results with Novus Scratch Remover which I purchased at the Honda Dealer.  It come in three grades (1,2 and 3).  I used the 2 grade which is for fine scratches and I have been pleased with the results.  I haven't tried the 3 grade.

If the scratches are bad, I would probably consider a replacement shield from Clearview or Cee Bailey.

I tried grade 3, don't do it, at least not on an OE shield.  Screwed mine all up, and took a lot of work to get it back to as bad as it was before grade 3.

When mine got bad enough I replace it with the Cee Bailey Wind shield, they will make it wider and taller for you, matter of fact they will custom make it to your needs and it is high grade aircraft windshield material. I’ve had it a couple of years and it still doesn’t show any wear. coolsmiley

I got 12,000 miles on my "tinted" Clearview. The stock one was shot. Would never go back to the stock clear one...
I look about 3 inches below the top, through it while riding..

Novis is a good product, that I've used on my shield. worked very well. used the one for minor scratches and then the polish.
