Celebrate the birth of our country by honoring those that gave their all for the ideals of
FREEDOM I wish someone would do the old Paul Harvey (yeah, he could be corney at times) broadcast about the original signers of the Declaration of Independance and what happened to them afterwards. Some of these patriots died penniless and lost everything they owned in the world. (Unfortunately, the full truth of this essay was subject to dispute. But it was fun to hear.) Many of these patriots went on to be leaders in our original government.
The price of
FREEDOM is
NOT cheap and requires vigilance to maintain it.
Have a happy 4th of July!

Two quotes that I find interesting by Thomas Jefferson, although there are many poignant quotes on this subject of government:
“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second does not become the legalized version of the first.” Thomas Jefferson
"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government." Thomas Jefferson
