Hey folks,
I just wanted to say hello to all the "Valkyrie riders" here in Northern Al, specifically Huntsvile.   cooldude
Could anyone please let me know if there are any local Valkyrie rider(s) or perhaps a local club that gathers and rides, specifically with Valkyries in mind; but by no way a limiting requirement.  Seems we tend to ride in paris or alone, but thought that we could, if there isn't one here, start a local chapter. I ride on Saturdays mostly,  as I attend church on Sundays.
I would like to have a fellow Valkyrie buddy here that I could ride or at least share some advice with when I need some help or if they would like some help or advice with their bike as well.
When I had a Yamaha Roadstar I had a great friend, who had one as well, and he and I would share repair ideas, replace forks  or tires;  or just go for rides.  If anyone is here in the Hunstville area, I would really like to hear from you.
Have a super evening and day!

Hey Wingster1980,

Good luck in gathering a group of Valkyrie rider together.Maybe south Alabama will do the same one day( before we all too old too old to ride).

I love the north end of our state maybe cuz I was born on Sand Mountain many moons ago.

I know a  guy named Steve Reed  in Huntsville,I think he's looking at Scooters,If you run into him by chance tell him " To Buy a Valkyrie!"

Contact Red Valk.  He's the AL State Rep.

Hey, good timing!  I'm not exactly local, but I am in Huntsville for now.  I come out for work periodically, and I rode out this time.  If you want to ride somewhere this week in the evening, or maybe this weekend, holler.
I will PM you my phone number.  I posted the idea here in case other folks are interested.

I live in Athens just west of Huntsville and just got my Valk back together today.  Once I take it out for a shake-down ride, I'll be ready to make up for some lost time.  Let's all get together and ride!

Sorry, I don't know any Valk riders in the area but I'm from Huntsville originally and go back there often to see family. As you probablly know by now, there is some great riding in the area, especially east and northeast of H'ville as well as south across the Tennesse River up in the hills. Good riding all over....  Wink

This is awsome. I am going to a car show this next weekend, but anytime after that.

I suppose we should deteremine the 5 W's.(Who , What, Where, When, Why-because we like to ridce and of course How.) Perhaps the best place to start would when, then where. (I am sure there is enough general knowlwedge to agree  on a destination for the ride etc).

As for me, Saturday (Saturday breakfast and then a ride- short or long all the same for me) would be the best and I could and would be open to a monthly evening "chow call" (centrally located for the consideration of all) if we can all agree.  Once we get to know each other we can perhaps look at getting a chapter or perhaps looking at  starting a local "no name" club etc. If any of you would like please contact em on my email address and then I can consolidate the messages. Or here if you would prefer(If some one would know how to consolodate names emails etc here?). Just let me know.

Santa is the Huntsville Rep. It's good to hear there ARE folks up in that area! he keeps scheduling rides for the Huntsville/North Bama area....but....so far, no one shows up but him! Again, Santa...aka Tom....is your rep...and he is active.

In fact, he'll be up at InZane in Michigan with me next week....representing Alabama. I'm the State Director. We ride down here just about EVERY weekend (in the Montgomery area). We combine rides with the Southern Cruisers and Green Knights (Military).

we also have a few large yearly events....like Cheaha in May.

i'm sure tom/Santa will pipe in here with his info.......... cooldude

If anyone wants an evening ride, I'm up for it this week.  As for a weekend ride, on Saturday, a couple of my fellow Texans are coming through on their way to Inzane.  If we properly coordinated, we could ride to meet them for lunch or something.  We could also go out on Sunday.  Up to ya'll.  Not that I know the roads real well around here, but I'd be happy to do whatever I can.

Tim:  I know Tom, and have an email in to him.  Awaiting a response now.  Maybe I'll call him after work today.
When are ya'll leaving for the northern regions?

not sure about Tom. I'm FLYING out with Sherry on Saturday. She has lots of relatives up in that area...she is from Ann Arbor orginally. Most her relatives live up in MI. after spending some days with her relatives...especially her father (in his 90s)....we'll head up from the Detroit area to Ground Zero. We'll get there on Monday. I've got to be set up to DJ for the event Tuesday evening and Friday...and do whatever else needs done (raffles, setup, etc.) .....as Lori, Connie and Carl crack their whip on us  Grin  Cheesy

Wingster: I have sent you an Email with contact information. All you North Al. guys should be going to Inzane for a GREAT time. When we get back we can get together and talk about it and future local rides. I have a couple rides that are fun that we can start out with.

We had a great day yesterday.  Thanks to Ron for showing me around Alabama.  We got to meet up with some wandering Texans:

Had some good times riding with Ron:

We hit some good roads:

Stopped at a local bike night, where we saw some cool bikes.

Some unusual setups

But were glad to get back to the Valkyries
