I was going to trailer and then ride the Nighthawk but I don't trust my knee to hold it up so i'm driving the Miata instead.
I have an appointment with an ortho Doc but not 'til after Inzane.

Oh well, I'm still on the right side of the grass.

Look me up at Inzane, I'll Cheesy be in my fast black Miata.

Wayne, as long as you're going to be there...that's the main thing. I have a right hip that's not being very friendly just now, but at least I can still handle the bike. I just have to get on from the right side most of the time....if I remember that is. Seems like the older I get the higher that darn seat gets, haven't quite figured that part out yet. So....if you see someone walking past and favoring the right side, just say hey John.  I also have an ortho appt. later in August, not looking forward to their suggestions. cooldude

Hips heal alot faster. Do it in the fall and you'll be ready for the spring. Thats what grandpa did. Farmed all summer and did the hip in winter.

Yeah John, getting old is not for sissies.

In my case, I have a theory;  Sleep gives my body plenty of time to figure out what it's going to spring on me when I wake up. Evil

I know that I have arthritis in both knees but they don't hurt much at all.  The right knee evidently didn't like that idea so it sprung a new one. "Lessee, this should work, I'll give out an occasional sharp pain and refuse to hold up his weight just for a second, that'll do it!" cooldude

And so it did.  Extremely good timing. I had just come to a stop on the Nighthawk keeping the right foot on the brake and holding up the bike with my left. I put the right foot down and it did exactly that.  I almost dropped it.  Even a 500 pound motorcycle is hard to pick up facing it.  My knees won't allow me to pick it up by backing with it.  I was outsmarted. ???

We need more geriatric doctors out there to outsmart these old bodies. cooldude

All you younger riders out there, remember to keep on good speaking terms with your body or later on, it'll give you   'payback time'.   laugh
