I have been using dynabeads for a few years, about 20K or so, with the Patchboy stems. The angle of the stem prevents using the filtered schraeder valve core, and I sometimes get air leakage if I don't really screw down the cap on the stem. Anyone else having this issue? I hate having magic beads with side effects...

Do you follow the recommended procedure of placing the stem at the 6 o'clock position and blowing a bit of air into the valve stem before taking an air pressure reading? This clears the stem of any beads as otherwise there is a chance trapping a bead(s) in the schrader core. I do this and haven't yet (knock on wood) shared your experience.

I'm using the Ariete valve stems................No Problems at all, just a little shot of air before checking pressure.

I have been doing it that way. This is a problem that has developed in the last few months, so perhaps it is a moisture issue or something.

If you have a bead stuck in the valve seat, you will hear the air leaking out and it will go flat in a few minutes.  They're little, but not that little.  I'd say that you need to make sure the velve is screwed in tight.  If that doesn't fix it, replace the valve.

Ditto on the "bead stuck in the valve seat" happened twice on me.. Yes I'm running Dyna beads with a Show Chrome TPS system, Like to check once and while with a good pressure gauge and the beads will somtimes catch in the schrader valve....

Pete..
