NE North Carolina

« on: July 07, 2010, 09:05:59 PM »

I was at a local bikers night fundraiser here in NE North Carolina tonight, and a gentleman who rides with the Blue Knights came up and asked me about my 2000 I/S. Did i like it, (hell yes) was it comfortable, (hell yes), how was the vibration?? "You got a nickel?" Funny look, digs into his pocket. I told him how and where to put in on the valve cover.. Cranked it up, ran it up to the prescribed RPM (4K).. "..no way.."
I kill the engine, pick up the nickel to hand it to him.. "no dude, you keep the nickel.." I added it to the growing collection in my backrest pouch..
Later he asked what I paid for it, what I had done to it, how many miles on it, etc.. Just before I pulled out, he says, "I need to get a Valk.." He rides a VTX 1300..   Grin

THAT is a great idea! Seems I can never find a nickle when I need one, need to keep a few in the backrest pouch for those special occasions!

Tickling 100,000 miles on the clock, and she still keeps the nickle up without a problem...

America and Mexico.

Americo will be our new currency soon.

Or how about this.

Canada, U S, and Mexico.

Canmerico.

Sorry mame,,, we only take Canmericos here.

Pretty Catchy, don't you think.

I definitely liked the two-dollar coin (and no singles/few fives in paper).

Never did figure out what was with the new 100 that was showing up in 2004...nobody would take the thing...even for $100+ purchases.

I've done the nickel trick for a few HD types,...and been accused of using a "magentized" nickel.
I had no idea you could magentize non-ferrous metals,...but apairently they know better!
