We had stopped at a Comfort Suites for the night and about 11:30pm the loudmouth and his entire family(Chico and the gang) checked in next door and across the hall. I've been to car auctions that made less noise, all of them wouldn't shut up or keep the level down. After two calls to the front desk, one where the clerk came up to their room, they were still making a racket and it was now 1:30am. So, my wife....(a very imposing figure at 5'3", shaking with Parkinson's disease, and hardly able to walk), put on her robe and went next door to plead her case. The a**hole was dumbfounded....and he quieted down just a bit. Altogether, we got about 2 hrs. sleep at the most. The next morning as I walked past the front desk, I spoke to the clerk about it and got a night's credit on the charges...which was a good start, there was quite a write up in the log about the entire mess. I then asked if they had checked out yet....no, none of them. They had the rooms for two nights. I went back up to the room and listened....everyone was snoring. So, just as we left the room I turned on the TV....NICE AND LOUD. Promptiing some protests from next door. I shoved a note under their door with a personal message: THANKS FOR THE GOOD NIGHT'S REST! HOPE YOU ENJOY YOURS. I then went to the girl doing the housecleaning and told her what happened, she alread knew about it. I handed her a $20 bill and asked her if she could sorta clean our old room last. She smiled and said..."about 2:00pm should work." When we checked out, they were on the phone but the clerk said there wasn't anything she could do just then. It was a good day afterall.

Ran into a Bunch like that going to Daytona Bike Week 2009.
Short stroy long , had it out with guy and they left.
He came to my room knocked on the door and asked why I had called the Front desk.
I told him they were keeping me up and he said I have to do my business , what ever that
meant.
He called me a Smart ARSE and I said thank you and now could you knock off the noise.
He looked like he wanted to cause me some bodily harm, but to his good fortune he did not.
Had a 9mm in my back pocket with fifteen rounds. Cocked and Ready.
I ain't as stupid as I look.

Had some buddies staying in a dirty sock motel once... they said there was a load of crack deals going on in the lot. At one point... someone dropped a rock... and they looked and looked andnever found it.
When my buds were up early, they tossed a chunk of soap wrapped in a bit of saran into the lot... and watched the fun.
They found it... and went into their room, and I guess all hell broke loose, as one of them thought the other was trying to either kill him or cheat him or something. I dunno. It's a 2nd hand story, but funny as hell.

I've had good luck using a house phone to dial their room and screaming I was going to kill them all and burn the place to the ground if they didn't shut off the !@#$% music. Don't forget to put in a 5am wake-up call for them also.

You could always slip a couple of pairs of womens underwear under the door.....or keep a blow-up Doll handy and tip the maid a few $$'s to slip it in their room when they leave for a while....of course, that would be considered a PLUS if you're from TN or SC....

Steamer I've heard you do that to have the maids put the doll in your room. Marty

When we would go to Ind State EMS competition/Conference in Indy, our boss would never tell us his room number. We called 3 different nearby hotels to see if he was there. Reason he never tells us is because we we gonna hire a escort and send him, or her, to his room. You want to see rowdy hotel guests, never stay in a hotel with Fire or EMS personell. Admin has recieved a few calls about us, er ah, I mean them. The storys I could tell but the statue of limitations is not up yet!
