Wandered into a recruiting office in Nov. 1967 to see about the Marines. Happened that their recruiter was out for a cheeseburger so the Army sergeant got ahold of this then 19yo and signed him up to 4 years in Army M.I. (ASA). To all the Jarheads out there, OohRah!

36 years ago in Ft. Jackson S.C. I was given 30 seconds to "unass" the bus I was in by this small and very fit D.I. Unfortunately the bus was packed with others like me that heard the same command. That was a fun day!
We didn't have the neat looking camo fatigues, whatever they call them now... or the beret either, unless we were special forces.

In '67 I was 19, but unfit for service. Now that I'm fit at 62, I wonder if they'd take me...
Thanks to those that served!
