Seems pretty late.   Not crazy about keeping the bike loaded up for hours after arriving Wednesday, early afternoon.  Maybe it's a mistake.  Check this site out for that info, as well as all the stuff available to guests.

our reservations were made through VRCC, not through the resort itself.  So I'm assuming (but we all know what that means) that we're not subject to resort check in times.  I hope Motomama will clue me in when I arrive this afternoon!

If 7PM is correct, that could mean that Housekeeping is slow or not enough employees. That is one big place.   I would think that parking the baggage in the lobby wouldn't speed it up much, I'm with Jabba.

"MY" sources tell me that for the the VRCC event, check-in is whatever time we roll in....if our assigned room is ready we just check in....if our assigned room is not available, they will contact housekeeping and get someone there ASAP......."guaranteed" check-in time is 6:00pm cooldude Roll Eyes

I have run into this before at other hotels.  If our room was not ready, they typically have a room off behind the counter or somewhere they will allow you to put your stuff until your room is ready.

Well I guess so.  2funny But you get 100+ people waiting for hours to get there room after 1000 miles on the road in 90 deg heat, i doubt i would be back myself. On all my stays i've never rolled into a place and was told to wait till a certain time to get a room. I also never stay at a upscale hotel during travels. Have stayed at the Omni downtown Indy once. Got lot of looks as we rolled up to the front door dressed in leather.  2funny The dont valet park bikes.  tickedoff

I agree with Medic, I have placed my stuff near the lobby while we rode for a few hours after checkout.

No, that is not correct on the check in time.  I was assured by housekeeping in a meeting we had yesterday that our rooms for check in have priority.  The 6 pm time for check in time is the guarantee time they set, meaning that it will be no later than that.  We arrived here yesterday around 1, and all of us got right in to our rooms.  You should be fine.

See y'all soon!

No.  We're riding up thru Chicago, and around the lake.  Friday from Indy thru Chicago, and up to about the Mi/Wi border.  Then around the top of the lake on Sat, into Bellaire for the dinner and Sat night festivities.  Just around Bellaire on Sunday, then Home Monday on a burn run dwn the super-slab thru Ft. Wayne.  We'll wave as we burn thru.   crazy2

Sorry you can't come along.

Sounds good. If you stop to eat, after 5p, in a 50 mile radius or need anything, give me a shout. I'm min from the I. Your looking at 2 1/2 hrs from the Ft to Greenwood. Go straight thru on 69, dont take 469. Its a waste of time.
