Decided to sell my Venture

When I purchased my 2001 Valkyrie 2 weeks ago I had no intentions of selling my 2008 Venture.  But after riding the Valk for 2 weeks I have decided to sell the Venture.  I love my new Valkyrie.  Now if I could figure out how to post a picture, we will be set.

What a coincidence - ha! I had a 2008 Venture. Wife loved it. Me, I had a yearning for a Valk. So she MADE ME hang onto the Venture until such time as I got the Valk and she 'approved' of it. In the meantime, I got all sorts of commentary. Why would I go down nine years. It's way too quiet. How come there are no grab bars. She neeeeeds floorboards.
Funny thing is, and I know it's all in my head, but the Venture and I never bonded. It just didn't grab me. Bike looked great and all, but the Valk spoke to me...
Sold the Venture a couple of months ago. Now, fortunately, we've progressed to joint shopping for Valk stuff. Got boards coming and a new windshield. Looking for an aftermarket exhaust and REALLY important stuff like an LED kit (go figure).
BTW, if that's your Yamaha on VRCC...they seem to go for cheap. I sold mine for 10K. Mayhaps I was impatient, but still...
The only thing I miss is that state-of-the-art cassette deck.

I owned a 2004 Venture. I think I put everything on it that was available for the bike at that time. That was the only motorcycle I have ever owned that was truly maintenace free for me. Never broke down, never cost me a dime accept self added bling.
  Folks think the Valkyrie is big, That thing was longer heavier and very top heavy, (slow too) When I got my Valkyrie, it felt like a scooter in comparison. I really did enjoy that bike, although I love my Valkyrie. The Valkyrie is more versatile. Looking for pictures.

That's her Twin. The photographer was pretty impressive there. I married the hot one!

My name is Czuch and I'm a Valkaholic.
I bought a 98 Shadow ACE 1100 a year after bringing the fat lady home. Its green and cream also and I thought it would be good for the wife or daughter. NOPE.
Valk has 66k miles and the Shadow has 22k.
Gotta sell it. Really dont want to.

Way back in the beginning, it was a toss up between the Valk & Venture. Deliberated long and hard over that decision. Made an appointment to test ride a Venture. Got there... bike was sold. Went to Honda shop and bought the Valk, sans test ride. The fat lady has been the only one for me ever since. Still like the looks of the Venture. Toying with the thought of going back that direction as a retirement gift to myself... if the Venture is still there. Otherwise... Beemer, or whatever else is out there in the touring class.  Venture has curbside appeal... to me.  sheets
