My Valk is a little hesitant Sad when I first take off cold in the morning , after letting it run for about a minute,by then the choke is off, (I usually keep it on for about 30 seconds .)

It smooths out quick, 10-15 seconds so I figured a little Seafoam would be good for it.

The question is how much?  crazy2
The can says 1 oz per gallon, but I've read posts where people dump in the whole can. I was figuring about 5-6 ozs, as I am on reserve now and will be filling it up soon adding about 31/2 gallons or four.

Thanks
Bill

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I say dump it in. I just put some carb cleaner in last night in my 1/2 tank. The bottle said treats 21 gal.  crazy2

The stuff isn't cheap.  What I do is a bit stronger than one-ounce-per-gal dose with about a half-to-third tank left when I plan to take a 25-40 minute freeway blast (to blow it out).  Run it to reserve, then fill up.  This way you can get several treatments per can of Seafoam.  I mean, if my bike was running badly, I might use a whole can.  But my bikes run great, so I give then each a maintenance dose every so often. YMMV

It really doesn't sound that bad and I doubt that sea foam will make a difference but it cant hurt. Use the whole can in fact you could put 2 cans in with no ill effects.

I like Techron better that Seafoam!

Lately I've been using B-12 with no ill-effects.

I prefer Berrymans B12 or Techron, both seem to work equally well.

But if a bike has sat and the gas has dried out in the carbs (several times) leaving a hard residue, nothing but strong carb cleaner, a brush and elbow grease will remove it. Same for jets.

Boy I sure hate to agree with CA, but I have had zero success with Seafoam.  I am real sorry I purchased a gallon of that over priced mineral oil crap.  Techron, BG 44K and B-12 all seem to be much better.
