Is there a local source in the DFW area other than the Honda Dealerships for the 3 orings that go in the rear end of our valkyrie's? I want to do the rear end maintenance on my splines on my new to me 99 Interstate but I don't have the orings that I need. If someone has some extra's lying around and don't mind selling them to me I would appreciate it. A little update on what I have done so far to the Interstate: Mobile 1 fully synthetic oil with oil filter. Drained dragon drool tube (was full). Castrol fully synthetic gear oil, and fresh set of spark plugs. I will be flushing the radiator and installing new coolant probably tomorrow. I need to change out clutch/brake fluid soon and check the brake pads. When will the next wrench party be? Do we have any wrench parties on Sunday? My chances are better for me being off on Sunday than on Saturday.  Thanks......

I have o-rings but won't be home 'til mid-week and will be leaving again Wednesday 28 July.  That said, for the few bucks they cost from the dealer - either online or storefront - it might be easier to connect with them than with me.

Or, if you just don't want to go the dealership route, go to the online parts fiche, look up the o-rings, get their sizes, and call these guys.  http://www.hddistributors.com/

Carolina bike and trike sells a five pack of all three rings pretty cheap. He also ships very quickly.

Paul, I haven't pulled the tank to look at it yet, but the bike was neglected and I'm changing everything I can on the bike so as to have a baseline on maintenance. Thanks for the offer but I'll go ahead and order the items I need on line.       cooldude

Oky Doky,,,next time my back tire comes off im going to install a new l/h bearing..the same as the r/h side...there are links in the tech archives for all the tips..nilos cover ext..If worse case I'll paint the small exposed part off the bearing race with liquid rubber/plastic,,like you dip wrench handles in...the r/h bearing is twice the size as the left...so if a rear bearings going to fail..guess which one!!! Have fun with the new bike...you will love that fairing and radio I think..someday maybee i'll find another (extra!!..project!) Interstate.....if you do want to do that mod you could order the bearing and an extra spacer to cut down so it would be a bolt off/bolt on ordeal....and maybee an extra kickstand spring bolt for the saddel bag tool kit,,,got about 100 miles in yesterday but it was a lot of city driving,,,,,toooooo hot for that....besides you know the valkyries love to get out and stretch their legs.......
