Just my thanks for keeping this part of the VRCC board one where the subjects are about our favorite motorcycle, the Valkyrie, and not about every political opinion, boob photo exhibit, weight loss plan, gun control, automobiles, school boards, lawn mowers, movies, commercials..... Shocked uglystupid2 crazy2   well, you get the picture.

The general board, in my opinion, is getting worse everyday. 80% non-valk related.

Let's keep Texas pure. cooldude

That is my opinion and you are welcome to disagree.

But you can't disagree we ride a great motorcycle.  Now it's valk related.

Thanks

I just saw a commercial about a movie about some boob of a politician who was mowing his grass because the school board told him to put his gun away and lose some weight.  Roll Eyes

Sorry RM, I couldn't resist...

+1 Rainmaker.
That part of the board is the most politicized (and polarized) board I've been to. I still go over because sometimes I like to BS about something other than bikes, bt I try to stay away form the polly styx. Too much venom and spume.

I did a "Obama" search on the General Board. 14 pages, average 27 hits on each page = about 378 posts where Obama are mentioned. -there must be thousand of posts on the General Board that are not related to our passion.
I agree with Rainmaker  cooldude
I`m tired of it. I have been posting / reading the General board for 5 years and it has never been as bad as it is now.

Dag, I hate to say it but it's going to get worst until the elections this November and the Presidential election in 2012.     Undecided

Didn't know about the elections in 2012 either, but I did vote Saturday morning. I voted to get up at 5:00AM and ride with 25 other riders to Toledo Bend Lake, over to Sam Rayburn, lunch, photo with 25 unknown bikes and 2 Valkyrie Interstates. Then I voted to split with the crew and ride my Interstate  to Fort Worth, spent the night with my Son and Grandson and had a peaceful ride home Sunday morning. Stopped at a convience store in New Waverly, bought a $5.00 scratch off for my wife. When I arrived home, she scratched it and was rewarded with $500.00. I guess voting pays off for you sometimes.

I put up a poll on the general board asking if it had become too political and less valk related.  So far, 24 have agreed out of 35 votes.  Please take a look at the poll and cast your vote.

Note that the comments have basically been non-supportive of my view, but that's OK.  There's even a vote you can cast that says it's just my problem.  Majority rules, so if it keeps going the way it is, I just won't be on the general board much anymore.

The subject is "General Board - is it too political?"

Thanks!
