I shipped one to Germany for $70 thru the post office. Kinda affordable. Guess you could ship it in pieces.

the box (40 Lbs) with 1/2" clearance on all sides is: 32x29x20. too big for usps to accept. ups=$587.70
fedex = $593.91 uglystupid2

Can you beak it down to two conforming boxes? USPS is usually below a third of the price compared to UPS & FedEx.

Is this a online quote or at the PO? If so, go to the PO and get a quote. Mine was shipped to Germany for $70 in a box about what you have. I just shipped a trunk full of camp gear west for $26. 36x18x14 and 35 lbs. Might be cheaper for him to fly here and get it.  Undecided

For the price UPS and Fedex wants, you could almost book a round trip for you and take it to him. 25.00 for the extra bag......Hmmm.... Cheesy cooldude

You can break it down and ship it for a reasonable price at the US post office. Take off the Speaker pods, seat back and any rack on the top.... put those items inside the trunk and that should drop the price substantially, sizewise..... I sent a trunk across country for $47, with it all together in a large box it was over $170....... Michigan to TX... If you need to get the weight down, ship them separately, but I'll bet you can get the size way down. Or send the top and bottom separately... plenty of ways to beat the man!

USPS is the best way. Brown and FedEx are not your friend unless you require expedited service....and even then you pay $$$$$. We ship all over the world and have found the post office to be most affordable.
