LadyDraco and I hooked up with local Valk rider Fendermender and his wife Jackie and rode 130  miles to Roanoke, Va. for Star City Powersports Spring dinner and showcase of new models...they serve a fine meal and discount everything in the place for all their past customers, good place to do business if you're in the hood....we left there about 9 last nite, kinda of cool but a clear nite for riding....
Something about riding at nite I enjoy, just kinda of peaceful  getting to listen to the hum of the engine and pipes, everything with lights on it are easy to see, even those beedy little eyes on the varmints... we stopped for coffee along the way and had a few laughs with friends, then back on the road, alot of cops on the road lately and giving out unwanted souveniers, didn't get any myself I just poke along....bambi didn't give us any trouble going over the mountains,I just turned on the tractor lights, those babies light up 4 acres of land and I just mine swept for every one, everytime I get deep back into mountains at night I keep thinking I'm going to run into Big Foot up there  Cheesy We had a good ride and all the bikes ran as smooth as silk....stars were all out and deer were all asleep, couldn't ask for more... laugh Oh yea, if you're riding I-81 around Roanoke keep an eye out for new ST1300 Police Bikes  police

I lovw night rides the best.  Especially during a full moon.  It is cool and quiet, and few cages on the roads if it is late enough.  I just don't like riding between 2:30 and 3:30 AM.   The bArs close at 2:30, so the you know what's are on the way home then. Evil Grin

Grin  Doggone it, now I'll have to watch out for them.

I didn't worry about the Harleys.

I knew that they couldn't catch me.  Grin

You might be able to out run the Harleys, BUT, you ain't going to outrun that little Motorola.........   Saw too many who have tried and none got away.....   Most of em we just went over and parked in their driveway till they came home......   That was an eye opener for several riders........   After having to walk for a year, they never tried it that I knew about again.....

Enough washing fades liscence plates. Imagine that. A little brake cleaner helps speed it up.
