http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,18436.0.html

This thread needs to go back to the "polls" board..or the "stir the pot" board, maybe start a new section called the "pouting about it" board   uglystupid2

The other board I am on has like 10 different posting sections. Its nice cause if I want to know where to 'ride the hills' I can go and find a answer. Then again its a pain cause you gotta flip thru 10 different pages to see stuff. Its also anything goes. Mostly cussing. Cant say I seen any boobs but it is a motorcycle forum and I expect to.  Wink If we kept it strickly Valk talk it would be boring!  Sad How are we suppose to get to know each other.
I have tons of stuff to post that is Valk related but some on here can get sensative on the material. When we are on the Valk, mostly at rallies, you'll find us drunk, high, naked, and other debautchery. Its how we roll.  cooldude Who wouldn't want to see that!  2funny

After spending time over on my HD board and having to put up with all those Right wing undereducated loudmouth wackos and a few science hating Bible thumpers, it is so refreshing to sign in here to alway find intelligent well reason discussions going on. It keeps me in balance.

hear, hear! as a right wing undereducated loudmouth myself I agree!  uglystupid2

On a completely different note, where can I find a kit for a fuel injected supercharger for the Valk? Yep, I guess that's changing the subject.

Clearly some different opinions here, but I thought Rainmaker's question was a good one.  Nothing really objective on the poll numbers yet, though.

I "whined" about the political posting a couple of years ago and the forum members and/or forum administration responded that it was your choice to read or respond-fair enough.
That being said, I started responding with a minority opinion and many have gotten upset and I see that I am being punished when I ask a technical question.
In spite of my conflicting with many, I respond to technical questions everytime to everyone IF I have the technical advice needed.
In some cases, I have not seen one constructive technical input but tons of derrogatory postings.
That's ok but COWBOY UP ladies(Did him get his feelings hurt).  Don't let your beliefs get in the way of the forum's intent.
By the way, for those of you that don't know the way, what you do is select the "technical" rather than the "general" and you know, if you can help, go ahead and try it. cooldude

It's really pretty simple.

Don't want to talk politics?  Skip the thread.

Don't like/respect/agree with/think you can convert the poster?  Skip the thread.

Don't want to discuss dino v synthetic or MC tire v NMCS tires?  Skip the threads.

Don't want to wish anyone a happy birthday?  Skip the thread.

Don't want to send prayers?  Skip the thread.

We don't need another page.  General says it all.  I'm registered at the Shadow Ace Tourer forum and their list of pages is more than 7 screens long.  What a PITA.

As it is said, "there are areas of common ground".I hear what you're saying but if you cast a vote for someone like Ralph Nader, it's like throwing away your vote. When I hear vote everyone out, I think about this guy from North Carolina, Al Green, or worse yet Sarah Palin,Rand Paul, etc.

I think Ralph Nader is a kook too.  There is 1 democrat that I respect.  Joe Lieberman.  I don't AGREE with him... but I respect him.

Republicans... there are a few that talk the talk, but not many that walk the walk.

If the leaders we have now, would work toward the FairTax... I'd reconsider.  But our Tax sysem is SEVERLY busted.  Confusing, wasteful, and unfair.  Plus, it hides taxes from the people paying them.  The ONE thing I think we need MOST is for people to understand how much they pay in taxes.

I am relatively new to this board, and enjoy the fact that there is diversity of thought and subject. I agree with everyone that has said that we have the choice not to read what offends us,

It has been said countless times that religion and politics are NOT good subjects to discuss amongst friends, since many friendships have ended just that way. So, there is a danger here to be sure.  It is important to remember that opinions are like a$$holes, we all have one, and are entitled to them. Smiley

I feel sad that there need to be so many rants by unhappy people not just on this board, but any place that gives folks the chance to state their opinion since it is purely a reflection of the mood, thoughts, fears, and mistrust that are so prevalent in our society today. This board, just like any other is a great way by which to judge the general health of our country. Sad

I agree that creating seperate boards for everything would be much too cumbersome to navigate through. Leave it as it is, and let the reader choose!

Look, there's no reason to end friendships over political and religious subjects, or any subject for that matter. ARE WE NOT ALL VALK RIDERS!!  The solution is simple...I say we leverage off the "Opinions are like A$$holes" quote and do the next best thing....If you reach a point of frustration with your freind... use the Friendship Turd. cooldude

Many can not do the math (Democrats  2funny) and the rest are not paying taxes...they live off of ours! (Democrats  2funny)

NOBODY can do the math.

Income Tax
Social Security
Medicare
State
Local
Slaes
Gas
liquor
Property
Luxury
hotel

Plus all the hidden taxes.  They claim that over 20% of the cost of new goods are hidden taxes...you know... the ones that the Corporations pay?  Yeah THOSE.  They simply pass them on to us consumers anyway.  So you buy a $20,000 car.  $4,000 of the cost of that car is imbedded taxes.  And you have to pay SALES tacx on top of the taxes you're already paying!!  There is NO way to know how much tax you pay.

The only REAL measure IMO is to add up EVERYTHING the government spends in a year, and compare it to the GNP for the year as see what the % is.  Usually about 30% and climbing.  That's unreasonable IMO.
