I read a bunch here and went with the HD440's. Had 412 on it but after @30k and lots of weight they were done. I ride 2 up now and wanted something to deal with the extra so went with the 440 . I will never look back best shocks I have tried. Did a small ride Sunday,@115mikes and my SO was pleased. Like a new bike. So Valksters get the 440hd if you ride 2 up or loaded and be happy. I'm with you on this cooldude You just don't even realize your 10-13 year old stock suspension is shot until you replace it. They just aren't designed to last this long. New suspension on a 10-13 year old bike will really improve your ride, safety, handling, enjoyment.

The shocks were not org I just worn them out. The stock shocks came off at 7500. They sucked. True shocks that are 13yrs old should be replaced.
