The Beckster has been hawking gold coins for Goldline.  I heard on the news that those coins from that company are sold at 90% to 200% above the melt value.  They are 47% higher than similar companies (which are also screwing you).  Further, had you bought Goldline coins at the beginning of 09 to date, you would still be 37% below melt value.  There was a near vertical upturn during that same time period.
Moral of the story-buy Gold futures if you trust the system.  If not, buy real gold if you think gold will continue it's value increases.

So first, Glenn Beck scares the sh..t of viewers with gloom and doom and then offers those same people a chance to loose half their money on day of purchase to safeguard themselves from starving.

Oh Glenn, Dude, My Man, The Fox Man-Just let me cash in my IRA's and 401's and empty my bank account.  I'll take the tax penalty implications and forget about keeping cash reserves-Let me buy all those precious Goldline coins I can get my hands on.  It simplifies your life ( you no longer have any money).

Glenn Beck is simply a businessman.  His product is usually misinformation, and he knows how to package and market it to his faithful followers.  The gold is a sideline.

oh god please don't get me started!!!

I CAN'T STAND GLENN BECK!!!

beck has admitted himself that he is only an entertainer, anyone that gets thier information from him would be better off listening to bett midler talk about global warming!!

talk about over acting!!  my favorite is his "food insurance!!"  what a scam that is!!  gloom and doom! that's what i call the evening news!  my kids get a kick when i get up and turn the tv chanel right after the local news, because of the "world is ganna end today" national news media!!

i use to listen to a lot of radio talk shows, never ever was a fan of rush lumphead, don't care for sean hannity either.  i do like neal boortz out of atlanta, i guess because he rides cycle!!

Yes, his advertisers sell gold coins.  I have seen gold coin sellers on ALL of his competitors shows.  So, why do you find it necessary to label him as bad, yet you completely leave the progressive/liberal hawksters alone?  Some of their prices are even higher than Goldline's.

Same old bad if Glenn Beck does it, but good if our liberal friends do it.  At least apply the same standard, please.

I know, I know.... that will happen when he** freezes over.

Granted, I think Beck is a complete moron but my message to the forum was to alert those that are contemplating alternatives in their portfolio.
This is not a liberal/conservative issue.
It's clear that some can't listen to a message unless it comes from a conservative.

Invest in guns and ammo......  at least ammo.  The prices continue to go up.... and once the revolution kicks in, you will need it or the only thing the gun is good for is to throw at someone.    Grin

The general complaint about Beck and Goldline is that Goldline isn’t simply a sponsor, but that Beck is a paid spokesman for Goldline.  The complaint alleges that Beck uses his show to misinform viewers and create an illusion of future bank and monetary systems failures.  He then recommends gold purchases (from Goldline) to survive the disaster.

Same thing the others do, do their show, then seamlessly go into the gold spiel.

Exactly the same thing I have seen the other hosts do.  Do their show, then seamlessly go into their gold spiel.

I'm not familiar with any other show's host hawking coins but you are exactly right that he puts the fear in and takes the money out of the...well...a fool and his money. And to think, Bush said the American people are smart enough to invest for themselves when he was pushing the privatization of the Social Security system-moments prior to the financial meltdown.I think he gave the American people more credit for intelligence than they have earned, but then again look who was........

All of the right wing talkers hawk gold, probably from different dealers. I never cared enough to notice. Even the lefty talkers push gold, or at least Ed Shultz does. Any of these gold dealers have to charge a premium for their product, to make up for the premium they pay for the hawkers and the airtime.

There's much better deals on the 'net, or from your local guy.
