The Texas state ride-in will be May 8-10 (Friday through Sunday)

The hotel has now been set:
YO Resort, in Kerrville, at
2033 Sidney Baker
Kerrville, Texas 78028
(830) 257-4440
Toll Free 1-877-967-3767
Their website is http://www.yoresort.com/

We will be there Friday night and Saturday night, checking out Sunday morning.  We have a block of rooms set aside for us, at a group discount of $85 per night plus taxes.  The rooms will be held until three weeks from our check-in date.  Make your own reservation, but when you do, tell them you're with the Texas VRCC, and you'll get in on that block.  If you can't make the reservation before three weeks prior, you can still call in for a reservation, you just might not get a room, and you might not get the better rate.
Please respond here if you're intending to go, so I know if we need to try to expand the block of rooms we have.  I have posted this on the Texas board as well.  Please respond in one place or the other, not both.

As for other activities:
Thursday evening is a supplemental BBQ at Hotglue's near Houston (no, it isn't the GOTF.  That's unchanged.  Yes, it's still a Hotglue BBQ, so you know it'll be good.)
Friday daytime will be travel for everyone to get to Kerrville (I will post a proposal for Houston to Kerrville on a separate topic).
Friday night will be for general arrival and tire-kicking.
Saturday will be riding and eating (details/routes TBA)
Sunday will be departure, with a group ride in the AM leading directly into the homeward journey.

I will be checking for response here, but most of the discussion for this will go on at the Texas board, so if you're interested, come on over.  It's the same forum style as this one, and one registration works for both.

Not sure how I missed this Mark. Here's a bump, and to let you know this is now on the VRCC Event Calendar.  It should show up on the VRCC Homepage, and Rides/Events page within the hour.

A number of folks I met last Saturday expressed interest in going to Kerrville, or the supplemental HG BBQ, or both.  I didn't get everyone's name.  Do me a favor and remind me who you are.

Sounds good.
Everyone remember, though, we need a separate headcount for the BBQ and for the Kerrville run.

I just spoke to my contact at the YO, and we're all set there, ready for a big crowd.  She still has rooms available, however, so if you've been waffling on whether to go or not, decide now to go.

Details on meetups/dinner/rides will follow.

I'm getting a tad bit excited.
