Gonna cruise thru Deals Gap this morning with all my friends....yes I'll be
alone!! 2 are at work, 2 have family obligations, 1 out of town, and 1 has
his bike for sale!! Still might be 1 or 2 "non-biker-gang-members" show up
at the meeting place. Gonna try to get there and get a patch and sticker
before it gets too hot and crowded. As many times as I've been there, I've
never even bought a Dragon sticker. Wonder why? Ya'll ride safe!!

I'll be at the Overlook around 0930 or so in case any of you are there and
want to give me some chrome.....I mean....want to say Howdy. Smiley

You should have waited till dark its much cooler no traffic whatsoever and no cops. We rode it last night I got home around 12:30 a.m. I had so much fun last night I'm thinking about doing it again tonight  Smiley

We actually didn't get there til almost noon!! Lot longer day than I
thought it would be! The road itself wasn't too crowded, everybody
was at the store. No too many LEO's....3 I think. I've about decided
I don't like the Gap much anymore. Spend too much time looking at
my speedometer trying not to get a ticket. I actually pulled over and let
a harley go by!!! He didn't go much faster than us, just enough that
I let him go (and we didn't see ONE LEO after I let him by Angry) I like
28 a whole lot better. I'm more into long sweeping curves anyway.
Came back via the BRP, but I was in too much of a hurry to enjoy it
much. Maybe this fall I'll give it another shot. Gatlinburg and Cherokee
were wall to wall..and then some! And if you're ever in a hurry but need
a bite to eat, DON'T stop at the Hardee's in Newport!! Lots of employees
running over each other, but never getting anything done!!

I like the idea of riding at night, but my night vision (or lack thereof) kinda takes
the fun out of it. I'm only comfortable after dark on a familiar road or one that
is well lit.
