I have a 2000 I/S with 120K on her. I rode her arround today on a couple of short runs and everything was fine. I parked her in the garage and two hours later went to take her to work and hit the starter and she cranked about a half of a sec and then nothing. I have no dash display or warning lights. I check the upper battery cables but didn't have time to check the ground at the block. I'm thinking the battery just took a dump on me. Everstart battery from wally world that is about 4 years old. I have a volt meter on the bike and before this I was showing a good charge with two green lights at anything above idle. What do ya'll think. I'm at work till 5 am so I got plenty of time to figure this out. TIA

4 yrs is good, 3 is about all I can get out of one. 2 days before leaving for Inzane I'm sitting at a light and she quits, got nuthing..... then display and radio com back to life. hit the starter and I'm on my way. Stopped at a station to check things out, under 12 volts at idle, little over when reved. shut it off to go inside, come back out, turn the key, nuthin again. Few seconds later she come to life cranks up and I'm off non stop run to work. In all it turned out to be a loose batt connection. At 4yrs I would suspect your batt needs replacing.

I'm thinking about picking one up on the way home at the walmart supper store and letting charge while I sleep and then putting it in tomorrow afternoon. I'm storing a buddys screaming eagle in the garage right now and I think the Lady got worried about my intent. Maybe a new battery will make her feal better.
